of stitches, lab work and Hollywood red carpet

Lorelei got her stitches removed yesterday.Yay! That area of her chest has endured three incisions in just six months. (Only Lorelei would smile during a complicated suture removal.)

Today she does lab work and meets with her oncologist to see how well her immune system fared after that grueling round of RICE chemo. We're hoping she'll be well enough to be around people. Especially with her birthday on the horizon.

If her immune system can handle it, she's been invited to walk the red carpet with Kevin Durant and Rumble for the OKC premier of KD's movie Thunderstruck ON HER 18th BIRTHDAY! Isn't it silly that I ever worried about making her birthday special? I should have known our wonderful OKC Thunder would take care of Coach Lorelei!

That is so exciting. I sure hope she is well enough to be able to enjoy the red carpet. My brother was diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma about five years ago he had a mass cover his left lung and heart the size of a remote control. His last pet scan was clean thank you Jesus. I pray for Lorelei <3

Psalm 91:14-16

New International Version (NIV)

14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."
