Saturday, November 3, 2012 (Day +10)

After a six hour nap yesterday and a wonderful night of sleep last night (after her Thunder beat the Trailblazers) Lorelei woke up to the best news she's heard in ages.  Her WBC is 2.6 and they counted over 500 Neutrophils. She's engrafted! The doctor promised she could go home after her neutrophil count was over 500 three days in a row so that means she's getting out of here soon!

This morning's blood cultures came back negative which means the bacteremia (sepsis) was properly handled and responded well to the antibiotics. She'll be sent home with IV antibiotics just to be safe.

Psalm 91:14-16

New International Version (NIV)

14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."
